This disk is a demo of Emergent Behavior's¬ MicroGA¬ toolkit. Contained on this disk are a HyperCard stack which describes MicroGA and a sample program which was written using MicroGA and MacApp.
The TravSales Demo is a program which solves traveling salesman problems. The TSP is a classic problem in mathematics. In this problem a salesman must visit a number of cities, and then return to the first. The problem is how will he do this and travel the least possible distance. The reason this problem is difficult is because the number of possible paths he can take are so large. For example the if there are 16 cities there are approximately 650 Billion possible paths. If there are 25 cities there are about 3 * 10^23 possible routes. TravSales solves these problems by searching a fraction of the possible paths. This demonstrates the power of MicroGA.
Note that TravSales requires at least a 68020 and a 68881 to run properly. If you do have a 68881 call us and request a special demo disk.
